Students must earn a minimum cumulative nursing grade point average of 2.0 and a minimum grade of 74% ā€œCā€ in each required course. Students must complete a minimum of 38 credit hours for the certificate program as listed in the curriculum plan for the class in which the student is enrolled. All PN-listed courses must be obtained at the Maine College of Health Professions.

Students are required to complete Interprofessional Education (IPE) activities each semester. Students who do not complete IPE requirements must follow the academic probation policy.

Students will not be issued a degree if they have not met all their financial and library obligations toward the Maine College of Health Professions.

The Maine State Board of Nursing requirements for licensure are:

  1. A completed online application
  2. Applicants must complete an accredited practical nursing program
  3. Pass the NCLEX-PN exam
  4. Pass a criminal background check
