This course explores human growth and development across the lifespan—from conception through late adulthood and end of life. Students examine biological, cognitive, and psychosocial processes that shape development, considering how heredity, environment, culture, and context interact to influence behavior and change. Emphasis is placed on applying developmental theories and research to real-world settings, including family, education, and healthcare. Through observation, reflection, and analysis, students connect developmental science to practical contexts across diverse life stages.
